Common questions

A practical little grimoire.

The answer may already be here. If not, our support inbox is one tap away.

How do I cancel GirlCult+?

Open iOS Settings, tap your name, choose Subscriptions, select GirlCult, and follow Apple’s cancellation controls. You can also use Apple’s subscription page. Access continues until the end of the paid period unless Apple says otherwise.

How do I request a refund?

Apple processes App Store payments and refunds. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in, and follow Apple’s instructions. We cannot issue an App Store refund directly.

Why is Restore Purchases not finding my subscription?

Confirm you are signed into the Apple Account that made the purchase and that the subscription appears in Apple’s subscription settings. Reopen GirlCult and try Restore Purchases once more. If it still fails, email us with the app version and the exact message shown. Never email your Apple password or full payment details.

How do I change or stop notifications?

Use GirlCult Settings to change moon, cycle, and daily-guidance categories. To stop all notifications, open iOS Settings → Notifications → GirlCult and turn off Allow Notifications.

What happens if I delete the app?

Local-only data and journal photos may be removed with the app. Records already synced to your private iCloud database and identifiers stored in iCloud Keychain may remain available for restoration. Deleting the app does not cancel GirlCult+.

Can I use cycle predictions for birth control?

No. GirlCult is not a contraceptive or medical tool. Cycle dates, fertile windows, and ovulation estimates are approximate and informational. Use an appropriate, professionally supported method for contraception or fertility decisions.

Why does my natal chart say houses are approximate?

If birth time is unknown, GirlCult uses a sunrise chart so it can still show a useful sky. Signs and planetary positions remain grounded in the date/place data, but houses and angles are approximate. Add an accurate birth time in Settings for the full chart.

What should I include in a bug report?

Tell us what you expected, what happened, the steps just before it happened, your iPhone model, iOS version, and GirlCult version. A screenshot helps if it does not expose sensitive information. Please remove or cover journal text, cycle notes, birth details, and purchase identifiers unless specifically needed.
